Programs & Impact
Creating moments of joy, connection, and hope for families who need it most.
The We Love Joy Foundation supports families caring for medically complex children through programs
rooted in compassion, community, and the belief that every family deserves to feel supported and uplifted
-no matter how difficult their journey may be.
Literacy & Inclusion Programs
We believe in the power of stories. Our children’s books promote kindness, resilience, and acceptance,
and we work to place them in schools, hospitals, community centers, and family homes.
Through book donations, school partnerships, and literacy initiatives, we help children see themselves,
and each other-with compassion.
These are some tools that we have found beneficial for Ayla.
WeFlow (Fascia-Based Therapy)
What it is:
WeFlow is a gentle, fascia-focused therapy that works with the connective tissue system in the body. Fascia surrounds every muscle, nerve, and organ - and when it is restricted, movement and function can be limited.
Why families seek it:
Children with neurological injuries often develop tightness, asymmetry, or compensatory patterns. Fascia therapy aims to:
Improve range of motion
Reduce tension patterns
Support more balanced movement
Enhance comfort and body awareness
It is hands-on, slow, and deeply supportive of the nervous system.

Therabounce (Rebound Therapy)
What it is:
Therabounce (often called rebound therapy) uses a specialized trampoline under therapist supervision to stimulate the vestibular system and core muscles.
Why families seek it:
The rhythmic movement can:
Improve balance and coordination
Strengthen core stability
Support sensory regulation
Increase circulation and endurance
It’s often joyful- therapy that feels like play.
My DMI (Dynamic Movement Intervention)
SMILE Therapy for Kids
What it is:
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is an intensive, hands-on therapy approach designed to improve automatic postural responses and motor development.
Why families seek it:
DMI uses targeted exercises to stimulate neuroplasticity by challenging the child’s body to respond in new ways.
Goals may include:
Improved head and trunk control
Better sitting and standing stability
Enhanced motor planning
Strengthening neural pathways for movement
It is structured, progressive, and often delivered in intensive blocks.

Stories & Books
Changing how children learn empathy- one story at a time.
Our Stories & Books pillar uses inclusive, purpose-driven children’s books to introduce themes of kindness, courage,
difference, and belonging at an early age. These stories help children understand that disability, illness, and difference
are not something to fear or overlook, but part of the human experience.
To ensure global access, our books are available through an Amazon Wish List and grant-supported purchasing,
allowing hospitals, schools, and community organizations around the world to receive them regardless of budget.
Through donor support and dedicated literacy grants, institutions can purchase and distribute these books widely,
removing financial and geographic barriers and placing meaningful stories directly into the hands of children
who need them most.
Ask Ayla 💬 A global guide for families finding their way through the unimaginable.
Ask Ayla is a lived-experience support platform created for families navigating birth injury, disability, or complex
medical journeys. Built from Jenna and Dave’s real-world experience, it offers practical guidance, emotional support, and connection,
not medical advice, but shared understanding.
Designed to be accessible across cultures and borders, Ask Ayla will launch in 65 languages and be available in 100 countries, ensuring families can find support in their own language, wherever they live. The platform helps families understand what comes next, locate trusted resources, and feel less alone during the most overwhelming moments. Ask Ayla will launch this spring and will be free for families worldwide.
We Love Joy Foundation was created from lived experience- to ensure no family navigating neurological injury feels alone.
